More TV Machinima

I cannot find any news sites reporting this, only press releases.

They say that Lucinda McNary, (lucindamc123? of Two Moon Graphics) will have a machinima shown on a Time Warner cable channel.

Moviestorm page?

Of course this part also caught my eye:
The stunning dramatic piano and orchestra piece, Tremble was written and performed by Daniel Stang of Edmundton, Alberta, Canada The song Yesterday was written and performed by Daniel Stang and Kyle Blackwood.
I presume they mean Edmonton. That meteor sprinkling pixie dust in its wake?

If I Hear The Word Avatar

Coming out of a TV character's mouth while they're investigating a crime where the suspects play virtual reality games (or MMORPGS, or ARGS, etc.) one more time I think I'm going to scream. Are all of these shows written by one guy or is the rate of theft so high that every story idea spreads within nanoseconds?

Or maybe I should just stop watching reruns.

Sacred Road - TV's First Machinima Series?

This new series (Sacred) is being unveiled at GDC (Variety). Produced by Blockade (co-owned by Gearbox) and utilizing the Brothers In Arms engine, it will be an animated series shown on GamePlayHD.

Will this just be an extended advertisement for BiA or a real piece of animated storytelling? Is this the first machinima series to be shown on TV (I don't think My Second Life has aired yet?).

Big Machinima News!

UPDATE*

There's more info in this Reuters article (six figures!).

====

NewWorldNotes has some very big news about HBO buying the rights to "My Second Life", the story of Molotov Alva in SL (previous post here). Not only that, they will apparently submit it to the Academy Awards in the animated shorts category. That's a big machinima breakthrough. Huge!

Will there be a slate of signings now for other series and productions? Or will there be a wait and see attitude? I'm surprised Rupert Murdoch wasn't the one signing on the dotted line.
