Lucasfilm and AtomFilms are hosting a new Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge with one difference: they are allowing or even promoting the use of Star Wars Galaxies for fan fiction (via SWG Warcry - more info at Star Wars, AtomFilms)
This is brilliant if you are a Star Wars fan (brilliant for them too) and even better if you are a machinimist. There's a production kit available (mostly sounds). Finalists will be shown on SpikeTV, at the 30th anniversary Star Wars celebration (has it already been 30 years - yikes), StarWars.com and I presume on AtomFilms. The winners will be shown at the award ceremony May 27th, 2007 (chosen by George Lucas himself). The submission deadline is April 30th, 2007.
The deluge should be amazing.
