It appears that a lot more freedom will be available to Sims players (GTA sandbox freedom?). Going on a walkabout? No problem?

Do you want the multitude of nature documentaries that Spore will produce, or the dramas/comedies of the Sims 3? I wonder if direct to web video will be embedded in the Sims as it appears it will be in Spore?

EA And Art Schools Team Up To Put Sims In The Hands Of Students

From Yahoo News - this is impressive. EA will partner with three top art schools for art exhibitions and projects around The Sims (including machinima). Each school will receive $12K in prizes. The exhibition dates are fast approaching. There's supposed to be a site on Sims2.com (http://www.thesims2.com/HandsOfArtists) but it gives me a 404.
