HypoHeretic - Machinima Music Vid

Great machinima music vid:

HypoHeretic from The Martin Brothers on Vimeo.

Made in iClone with imported content from Google Warehouse and Daz Studio (and some Second Life images as 'matte paintings'), from a collaboration formed when artists met at the Second Life Community Convention (Kirsty Hawkshaw music - filmed by John C. Martin II of MartinBros.).

iClone vs. Moviestorm

Fight!

In the red corner - iClone movie "The Case of the Missing Plot".

And in the blue corner - Moviestorm film "The Dirty Dishes".

No hitting below the belt.

Of course this is silly, but so are both videos. Moviestorm is still in beta. Recent news suggests a free version will be available. Will iClone be forced to follow suit. Either way, it is a grand time to be a machinimist with such a wealth of software available to content creators.

I am curious, though, if there will be any other entries in this niche market (although I doubt it will be a niche for long). Something from Apple? Microsoft? Blender is already open source. Adobe? Google? Now there's an idea.

Two Moviestorm Vids

Both from the same user: Kkffootube.

The Uncomfortable Chair (MS only)
Waiting (MS and Sims)

There has been extensive posts about Moviestorm over at Machinimafordummies.

iClone and Moviestorm, two products dedicated to machinima. Interesting, but I'm still waiting for an open source platform. Blender's produced two movies so far: Elephant Dreams and Plumiferos (the first a short, the second feature length). Perhaps Second Life's gradual movement in that direction is an answer (via MfD).
