Well, hot on the heels of my last post on open source 3D worlds comes news that The Electric Sheep Company, a third-world developer in Second Life and other virtual spaces has received $7 million in financing (via Clickable Culture, interview on GigaGames).
Interesting in that third parties are getting such financial focus. Also interesting is the fact that they may be working on building customized client interfaces. Hmmm...are they Netscape pre-boom? Yahoo? Something else entirely?
