The Living Sasquatch site makes me laugh.
It also makes me think how AR can be applied to filmmaking.
1. No longer do you need to do compositing! Now everything can be done in-camera, old school style.
2. Actors having trouble acting against a green screen? You could use AR to show them what they are acting against, in, or with.
3. Can't stand the actor? Just replace them in-screen. Forget puppets, do a full find and replace in your footage.

I haven't seen the original adverts, but the concept of getting your product to interact virtually in home video is really interesting.
Presumably someone could create a similar movie in virtual reality and upload- Kate
