Phil Solomon - Grand Theft Auto

I have never heard of these before, but Phil Solomon will be presenting a trilogy of videos made in GTA (and other works) at Ohio State University.

Has anyone seen these machinima pieces?

No, I've heard of his work, but only in descriptions. Sounds marvellous. One of the problems with the traditional avant-garde (Solomon was a collaborator with Stand Brakhage) is that they still, for the most part, use the museum/theater idea of distribution instead of the internet. People like you and I don't get to see the film and we are the audience who would appreciate it. Ach....

True. On the one hand we don't get to see it, on the other that leaves these in a sort of undiscovered state, which is a strange thing in today's digital world.
