It means it will be like Google Warehouse I suspect.
Google generally has good ideas in developing programs, so I expect Lively to get better as it goes. Lots of interesting vids over at youtube on Lively. Doesn't appear to have the same customization that SL has at this point. You select from a variety of examples as opposed to creating your own.
Digging a bit deeper, it appears another vw company has released a similar program to Googles; Vivaty. Web based vw where you can plug it in at your facebook site or personal website. Looks interesting. check out the vivaty vids at youtube. Glad there's competition. Might make for interesting environment for meetings, collaborations,etc.
Or machinima.
Although 'walking' is interesting.
Odd that machinima was not my first thought when watching the Lively demo vid. Perhaps the "cartoony" look or something...
BTW, initial reviews are pretty hostile, but I have a feeling Google will develop it well.
